AAP’s U-turn on burning copies of the ordinance within a few hours, explained the reason


Delhi News: Hours after announcing that copies of the Centre’s ordinance on control of administrative services in Delhi would be burnt at the Aam Aadmi Party office, the party has taken a U-turn on its decision. Now it has been said on behalf of the party that we will not take any such step. Because this matter is pending in the court.

The AAP-led Delhi government on Friday approached the Supreme Court on the issue of the ordinance. In the petition filed in the apex court, the party has challenged the constitutionality of the Centre’s ordinance. The Aam Aadmi Party said that this is an unconstitutional attempt by the Center to undermine the basic structure of the Constitution.

What did Saurabh Bhardwaj say

The AAP government of Delhi has requested to repeal the ordinance as well as to put an interim stay on it. During the day, AAP said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would burn copies of the Centre’s ordinance on July 3 at the party office in central Delhi. Party spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj told reporters here that copies of the ordinance would be burnt in all the 70 assembly constituencies of the national capital.

All programs related to burning of copies canceled

In a statement issued late evening, the party said that AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and AAP’s top leadership will neither burn copies nor participate in demonstrations against the ordinance on July 3 as the matter is currently sub judice in the Supreme Court. Is. All programs related to the ordinance have been cancelled.

During the day on Friday, Bhardwaj had alleged that the Center was trying to control Delhi illegally through this black ordinance. The party had also organized a rally against the ordinance on 11 June.
