‘Accused was angry with Chandrashekhar Azad’s statements, suddenly made a plan to attack’- DIG


Chandrashekhar Azad News: The police (UP Police) arrested the youths who attacked Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad on Saturday. In connection with the attack on him, four youths have been arrested by the police from Ambala in Haryana. The names of these youths are Lavish, Akash and Popat. Now the Saharanpur Police has given information in this matter on Sunday.

Regarding Chandrashekhar’s attackers, DIG Ajay Kumar Sahni told that Chandrashekhar was attacked on 28th. After which five teams were formed to arrest the accused. Four boys have been arrested. One youth is from Haryana and three from Deoband. The accused had fired three rounds. He has been arrested from Ambala’s dhaba. The accused were angry with Chandrashekhar’s rhetoric. They had made a program to attack suddenly. The accused had followed them from Rohana toll.

Many teams are investigating
Earlier, Saharanpur’s Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain had told after the attack that an FIR has been registered against the unknown assailants in a car on the complaint of Manish Kumar, a companion of Ndrashekhar. He told that the police have detained four suspects for questioning. Several police teams are investigating and very soon the attackers will be behind bars.

On the other hand, Azad Samaj Party’s founding member and media in-charge Dr. Ajay Gautam had said, “Even after 72 hours of the incident, the police have not been able to arrest the attackers, due to which there is resentment among the supporters.” Gautam told that at Azad’s residence. Doctors are keeping an eye on his health, elaborate security arrangements have also been made. He told that there will be a mahapanchayat in Saharanpur on July 3, in which further strategy will be decided.
