Four security personnel killed in attack on checkpost in Pakistan’s Balochistan


Pakistan Terrorist Attack: Unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpost in Sherani district of Balochistan, Pakistan on Sunday (July 2), killing four security personnel. Pakistan’s Geo News quoted police officials as saying that the attackers fired indiscriminately at the checkpost and killed four security personnel.

According to the police officer, one attacker was killed in retaliatory firing. Along with this, a search operation has been started in the area after the incident. Along with this, the police is investigating the matter. According to the report of Geo News, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo has condemned this attack.

CM condemned the incident

After the terrorist attack, the CM said that terrorists cannot demoralize the security forces by cowardly acts. He further said that the sacrifice of the security forces is an example for the country. Bizenjo said that the security forces are ensuring the security of the country with determination and courage.

There was an attack on Saturday as well

Significantly, earlier on Saturday, a police officer was injured in an attack on Smart Police Station Civil Lines Quetta, when the attacker hurled a grenade at the station and fled from the spot.

Terrorist attacks have increased in Pakistan

Let us tell you that there has been a spate of terrorist attacks in Pakistan in the last few months. According to a report, the number of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased by 27 percent last year as compared to 2021. In 2022, at least 419 people were killed in 262 terrorist attacks, while 734 were injured.
