ABP C Voter Survey On UCC: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement in Bhopal, the discussion on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has intensified in the country. Congress has opposed the idea of ​​implementing UCC in the country. The Congress Parliamentary Committee convened a meeting on Saturday, July 1 under the chairmanship of Sonia Gandhi, to discuss the party’s strategy regarding the UCC in the monsoon session of Parliament. Meanwhile, C Voter has done a survey for ABP News.

The answers given by the people on the issue of UCC in this survey are going to spoil the hopes of the Congress. In the survey, people were asked whether the Congress should support the government on the issue of Uniform Civil Code? To this question, 59 percent people have answered ‘yes’, that is, those who believe that the Congress should support the government. There are only 34 percent people who said that Congress should not be supported. At present, the attitude of the Congress is also the same. At the same time, 7 percent people do not have any opinion about this.

PM Modi advocated UCC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Addressed BJP booth workers in Bhopal on June 27, in which he attacked the opposition while advocating for a Uniform Civil Code in the country. PM Modi had said that people hungry for vote bank are opposing it. He questioned, if there is one law for one member and another law for another member in the same house, will the house be able to run? So how will the country run with such a dual system?

PM Modi had further said that the Supreme Court repeatedly asks when will the Uniform Civil Code be brought, but people hungry for vote banks constantly oppose it. After the statement of PM Modi, the rhetoric about UCC continues in the country. The Congress has called it an attempt to divert attention from inflation and unemployment and take it towards the politics of discrimination and division. Along with this, many other parties have also opposed it.

Note- The discussion about UCC is fast in the country. The last date for giving suggestions on UCC to the Law Commission is till July 13. There is no consensus in the opposition regarding UCC. In such a situation, C-Voter has conducted an all India survey for abp news. From Wednesday (June 28) to Friday (June 30), this survey has been done across the country. The margin of error in the survey is plus minus 3 to plus minus 5 percent.
