AI Can Create Economic Disparity: Artificial Intelligence is being seen as a new revolution in the field of IT. But Geoffrey Hinton, a professor at the University of Toronto and considered the godfather of Artificial Intelligence, himself is now warning the world about its danger. He warned the governments around the world about the increasing influence of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT and Bing Chat, saying, we need to control it.

Speaking at the Collision Tech Conference on the dangers of artificial intelligence in Canada, Geoffrey Hinton said that currently 99 people are working on creating better artificial intelligence while one smart person is working on ways to stop it. He said that there is a need to be careful of the dangers coming from Artificial Intelligence.

Hinton expressed concern over the dangers of the large language model OpenAI GPT-4, saying that it would increase productivity. But there is a danger of increasing its misuse. Due to this, people will try to make themselves more wealthy, due to which a huge increase in economic and social inequality can be seen. Geoffrey Hinton has left Google to spread awareness about the dangers of artificial intelligence.

There is constant warning about the challenges of artificial intelligence. Recently, International Monetary Fund’s First Deputy Managing Director Geeta Gopinath had expressed concern about the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs. He said that due to artificial intelligence, a problem may arise in the labor market. He appealed to the governments to make rules soon to control this technology.

In one of its reports on Artificial Intelligence, Goldman Sachs had said that 300 million full-time jobs could be at risk due to this. PWC (PWC) also said in its Annual Global Workforce Survey that many people believe that new technology can replace them in the next three years. Many companies related to technology are considering replacing routine jobs with artificial intelligence. 36 percent of the people involved in the survey at the global level of the Boston Consulting Group said that due to artificial intelligence, they could lose their jobs.
