Zelenskyy Claims Putin Wants To Kill Me: It has been 16 months since the war between Russia and Ukraine started. During this, the heads of both the countries have leveled allegations and counter-allegations against each other. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is in more danger than him. There are other people who want to kill him.
When Zelensky was asked by a Spanish newspaper El Mundo whether he feared for his life in the middle of the war, he said that Putin was more dangerous. Only Putin wants to kill me, while the whole world wants to kill him.
‘Dangerous messages cited’
Zelensky also expressed fear of losing support from the US, citing dangerous messages coming from some Republicans. He said that we have bipartisan support, although they have different messages.
Zelensky’s statement comes a week after he led a rebellion against Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin. Wagner’s soldiers, along with their men, vowed to overthrow Putin’s leadership.
‘21,000 Wagner fighters were killed’
Zelensky said in the interview that he has become accustomed to danger because of the war. Many people want to kill him. Meanwhile, he claimed that at least 21,000 Wagner fighters had been killed and 80,000 others wounded in the war so far. Zelensky did not provide any evidence for his claim.
Zelensky also stressed that frontline soldiers are most at risk. The Ukrainian leader said that life has become very difficult because of the constant explosions happening on the battlefield every second. I have been there many times and I know what is happening. God will give the soldiers the strength to move forward and return home.
