Traffic advisory issued regarding Kanwar Yatra in Ghaziabad, check here before leaving home


Kanwar Yatra 2023 Traffic Advisory: Monsoon In view of the Kanwar Yatra to be held in the month of May, many changes have been made regarding the traffic system in Ghaziabad. The new system will start from 12 midnight on 4th July and will run till 18th July. Under this, traffic has been diverted in two phases. Separate traffic plan has been prepared for light and heavy vehicles. During this, the entry of heavy vehicles will be completely banned in Ghaziabad, including Meerut Road, inside the city and on many other routes. On the other hand, small vehicles will be implemented considering the number of Kavadis.

During the Kanwar Yatra, if you want to avoid any kind of hassle regarding jam and traffic, then first get complete information about the plan of the traffic police. Entry of heavy vehicles will be banned on many main routes in Ghaziabad from the night of 4th July. These vehicles will not be able to enter even on internal routes. No vehicle will ply from Meerut, Muradnagar and Modinagar to ALT, Mohannagar and Meerut Tiraha.

Traffic Advisory for Heavy Vehicles

, Heavy vehicles will not be given entry in the city from any border of Delhi and Ghaziabad. These vehicles will go through National Highway 56 and NH-9. Vehicles going to Bulandshahr from Delhi, Mathura and Badarpur will not go through Ghaziabad and will go through GT Road via Okhla Barrage, DND Expressway to Greater Noida, Kasna, Shyamnagar, Secunderabad. No heavy vehicle will ply from Loni Tirahe to Bhopura and Tilamod.

, Heavy vehicles will not be able to enter Loni from Baghpat on the Delhi-Saharanpur route, they will be sent to Delhi via Tronica City via Sonia Vihar. Vehicles going from UP Gate to Bulandshahr will pass through Eastern Peripheral Expressway. On the other hand, vehicles going from Delhi to Haridwar-Dehradun will go from Dasna via Eastern Peripheral Expressway via NH-1 to Sonepat and Karnal via Saharanpur.

, Meerut’s entry will not be available from DME. In front of Tech College, those going towards Meerut will be dropped from the Eastern Peripheral Express from the left side from this point. Entry of heavy vehicles will be restricted on the expressway beyond Dasna. There will be a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles from Loni Tiraha towards Tila Mode, Bhopura. Entry will also be closed from Lalkuan, these vehicles can go to Delhi using DME or NH-9.

, Traffic of all types of heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited from Meerut, Modinagar, Muradnagar towards ALT, Meerut Tiraha, Mohannagar. Heavy vehicles coming from the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will be dropped from the peripheral at Dasna and will be diverted from here towards NH-9 going to Delhi. Vehicles going towards Muradnagar, Modinagar, Meerut will pass through Pilkhua Hapur.

Traffic plan for light and medium vehicles

A traffic plan has been prepared for light vehicles, which will be applicable from 12 midnight on July 8-9. Under this, entry of light vehicles will also be stopped on Meerut Road from 9th July. Entry of all types of vehicles will be banned on Muradnagar Pipeline Road. Vehicles going from Eastern Peripheral to Ghaziabad, Modinagar will be taken forward via Dasna. Chaudhary turn, Ghantaghar to Jassipura turn, new bus stand to Jassipura turn and routes leading to Dudheshwarnath temple will also remain closed.

, Light vehicles coming from Railway Station Road, Kirana Mandi, Ramteram Road, Ghantaghar, Bajaria Road, Delhi Gate, Ganda Nala will be diverted via Chaudhary Mod. Entry of any vehicle on NH-34 Meerut Road from ALT flyover to Meerut Road, Sanjay-Geeta Chowk, DPS Cut, Sihani Chungi, Patelnagar will be restricted.

, Light vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Meerut on DME near Intech College from the night of 11th July. During this time even autos will not ply between Lalkuan to Seemapuri. Autos will not be able to ply between Mohannagar to Vasundhara flyover.
