US San Francisco Khalistan Supporters: The US on Sunday (July 2) strongly condemned the arson attempt by Khalistan supporters at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. America’s local channel Diya TV reported that Khalistani fundamentalists set fire to the Indian consulate between 1:30 am and 2:30 am, but the San Francisco Fire Department quickly extinguished it.

It has been said in the report that there was not much damage due to the fire. At the same time, in this incident, no employee was injured in the incident. Khalistan supporters also released a video regarding the incident. However, ABP could not independently verify this video.

Incident happened in the month of March as well
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller tweeted that the US strongly condemns the alleged vandalism and arson attempt against the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. Vandalism or violence against diplomatic facilities or foreign diplomats in the United States is a criminal offense.

The incident comes months after a group of pro-Khalistan protesters attacked and damaged the Indian consulate in San Francisco in March, which was strongly condemned by the Indian government and Indian-Americans. He demanded immediate action against those responsible for this.

Khalistan supporters shouted slogans during the protests in the month of March in America. The protesters had also broken the temporary security cordon put up by the police. Apart from this, two Khalistani flags were put up inside the consulate premises. However, these flags were soon removed by two consulate personnel.
