Shah Faesal on Article 370: The matter of Article 370 will be heard in the Supreme Court on July 11. The matter of challenging its repeal was handed over to the Constitution Bench in the year 2019 but till now the hearing has not taken place. IAS officer Shah Faisal had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on the matter. Now his statement has come to the fore.
Talking to news agency PTI, Shah Faesal told that he has withdrawn the petition long ago. This is just the title of the group of petitions and the name will change once the order is issued. Article 370 is a destiny. Today’s Kashmir bears little resemblance to the Kashmir of 2019.
What did Shah Faesal say about Article 370?
Shah Faesal tweeted, “370, for many Kashmiris like me, is a thing of the past. The Jhelum and the Ganges have merged forever into the great Indian Ocean. There is no going back. Only forward.”
