Indian stock market closed at a record high due to buying in banking-IT stocks


Stock Market Closing On 4 July 2023: In Tuesday’s trading session, the Indian stock market has again closed at a record high. Due to buying in IT and banking stocks, the BSE Sensex closed at 65,479 with a jump of 274 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 19,389 points with a jump of 66 points.

Buying was seen in banking stocks in today’s trade. Due to which Bank Nifty has closed at record high. Bank Nifty closed at 45,301 points with a gain of 145 points or 0.32 per cent. Nifty IT saw a jump of 305 points or 1.04 per cent. Apart from this, stocks of Pharma, FMCG, Media, Consumer durables, Healthcare sector closed with a jump. While there has been a decline in the shares of Auto, Oil and Gas, Energy, Metals sector. In today’s trade, while there was a decline in the stocks of the mid-cap sector, buying was seen in the small-cap shares. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 closed with gains and 11 closed with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 30 stocks closed up and 20 closed down.

Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv were the star performers of the market in today’s trade. Bajaj Finance closed at Rs 1629 with a gain of 7.17 per cent and Bajaj Finserv 5.76 per cent. Tech Mahindra closed with a gain of 2.39 percent, Sun Pharma 1.61 percent, NTPC 1.54 percent, Titan Company 1.39 percent. While Bharti Airtel closed down by 1.54 per cent, Axis Bank by 1.18 per cent, Reliance by 1.04 per cent.
