There is a tussle between him and the current Shahbaz Sharif government. The Shahbaz government has filed hundreds of cases against the former Prime Minister, due to which he had to go to jail and there is a possibility of going to jail even further.

recently Imran Khan Gave an interview to The Independent magazine, in which he talked about going to jail and on issues like arrest. During this, he compared himself to great men like Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. Saying that he was not afraid of going to jail, he said that he would follow in the footsteps of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

‘I will be put in jail’
Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, while giving an interview to The Independent magazine, expressed apprehension that he would be put in jail again. The Pakistani government will not take even an iota of time in this work. Claiming the reason behind this, he said that the present government knows that if I stay out, my party will become stronger, so they want to contest the upcoming elections by putting me in jail. However, he said that the more they try to suppress me, the more support I will get.

Imran Khan’s arrest on 9th May
Imran Khan was arrested two months ago on May 9 in the Al Qadir Trust scam case of the Islamabad High Court. Since then, protests had started across the country to release him. Due to this tremendous sabotage was done in Pakistan. PTI supporters targeted the houses of army officers during the demonstration and set their bases on fire. After this, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered the release of Imran, terming the arrest as illegal, after which he was released on bail for two weeks on May 12.
