Abhishek Banerjee on BJP: Trinamool Congress (TMC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee made a big attack on BJP on Thursday (July 6). He said that if BJP talks about dynasty politics and brings a bill to end it, he will be the first person to support it.
Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, further said, “BJP could not win West Bengal in 2021. So he declared a kind of war on the people of Bengal. They are working on vendetta politics. We have seen and felt the effect of BJP’s hatred on the people of Bengal. The BJP’s fight is not with the public, but with the Trinamool Congress, but they are withholding our people’s money due to resentment.

Challenging the BJP leaders, Abhishek Banerjee said, “Dilip Ghosh, Shubhendu Adhikari, Sukant Mazumdar, one of the three should sit with me and discuss when the money for the 100 days and housing scheme was given?” He took a dig at the Centre. Said that Central Vista is being built by taking the money of Bengal, buying aircraft.

Abhishek Banerjee said in the “Meet the Press” program at Kolkata Press Club, “We do not have any concrete information about the discussion about the Uniform Civil Code, what is required to be uniform.” A few years back, the Law Commission had also said that it is not needed. Besides, India’s strength is its diversity. The Prime Minister also talks about Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in all his speeches, which means the world is like one family. India is famous for its unity, not uniformity.
