BJP holds East Region meeting in Guwahati, instructions given to leaders of these states


BJP East Region Meeting: Lok Sabha elections to be held next year in 2024 and assembly elections are to be held in many states this year. In such a situation, the first regional meeting of BJP was held in Guwahati on Thursday (July 06) regarding election preparations. Out of the 3 regions, the first meeting was held for the East Region. Which was presided over by National Organization Minister BL Santosh.

According to sources, mainly the strength of the organization and the 9-year flagship plans of the Modi government were also reviewed in this meeting. Also, feedback was taken from state-wise party officials on the functioning of the central and state governments.

What happened in the meeting?

Officials of 12 states participated in the meeting and during this Lok Sabha Elections Measures were suggested to make the organization fit for the preparations. In the meeting, an attempt was also made to know the trends of the people on the party’s mass contact campaign launched in June on the completion of 9 years of the Modi government.

Officials of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura were present in the meeting held in Guwahati of East Region.

A meeting was also held at PM Modi’s residence

Apart from this, amid speculations of a change in the BJP organization and a reshuffle in the Union cabinet, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with party leaders at his residence on Thursday (July 6). Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda were present in this.

However, Nadda left after some time to attend another programme. After this, the meeting of Amit Shah and PM Modi went on for about four hours. For the last several days, the top leadership of BJP is holding meetings continuously. Recently, a meeting of BJP President and General Secretary BL Santosh was also held, which went on for several rounds.
