Tata Steel Sacks Employees: After TCS, Tata Steel has also sacked 38 employees for violating the company’s code of conduct. Tata Steel Chairman N Chandrasekaran has given this information in the company’s AGM. This action has been taken against these employees for misusing the position, taking decisions for personal gain and violating the contract management agreement.

The company had received complaints against these employees from whistleblowers. Out of these 38 employees, 35 have been suspended for unethical practices and three for sexual misconduct. N Chandrasekaran said that Tata Steel had received 875 complaints in the last financial year 2022-23. In which 158 were from whistleblowers, 48 ​​were related to security, 669 were related to HR and some complaints were related to conduct. N Chandrasekaran said that getting more complaints is not a wrong thing as it shows the open culture of the company. He said that here employees are encouraged to register their complaints.

Earlier, Tata Consultancy Services had taken major action against the employees involved in the recruitment scam by taking bribe. TCS fired 6 employees. Also, six business associate firms involved in recruitment were banned. The action taken against the employees of TCS was also shared by N Chandrasekaran in the AGM. Talking to the shareholders, N Chandrasekaran said that six employees have been left whose conduct was against the ethics. N Chandrasekaran said that all those six employees and six such business associate firms have been banned. Investigation is on against three more employees.

TCS will review the entire business associate supply management process for weaknesses and deficiencies. And it will ensure that such incidents do not happen again. However, such incidents coming one after the other in the country’s oldest industrial house are worrying.
