Delhi Government: The jobs of 437 professionals working in Delhi government are in danger. The service department of the Delhi government has issued orders to terminate the services of all these people. In fact, formal orders have been issued to terminate the services of 437 professionals posted in different departments/corporations/boards/society etc. of the Delhi government. YVVJ Rajasekhar, Special Secretary, Service Department, has sent these instructions to all the departments/corporations/boards/society of Delhi Government.

It has been said in this order that the approval of the Lieutenant Governor has not been taken for the appointment of these 437 people, so the services of these people should be stopped with immediate effect. The Finance Department has been told that the salaries of these people should also be withheld. It has been said in the order that if any department feels that it can continue to appoint such people, then it should send it to the service department with full justification and documents, so that it can be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for his opinion and approval. This action will be taken if the order is not obeyed
In the order issued by the service department, it has been said that the constitutional provision of reservation was not followed in these appointments, therefore action can be taken against the secretary of the concerned department if this order is not served. On this matter, the Delhi government says that this order of the Lieutenant Governor is unconstitutional and they do not have the power to issue any such order.

Will challenge the decision in the court – Kejriwal government
Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal has spoken of going to court against this order. The Aam Aadmi Party said that this order would be challenged in the court. Due process has been followed in these appointments.

The Aam Aadmi Party said, “On whom the Lieutenant Governor is taking action in an unconstitutional manner, they are professional people. Those who have studied from IIM Ahmedabad, Delhi School of Economics, JNU, NALSAR, NIT, London School of Economics, Cambridge and are doing excellent work in different departments.
