Bangur Nagar police station official said that a 90-feet-long bridge in Malad West was put up by the Adanal Electricity Company to replace the electric cables. He told that after the permanent bridge was built over the nullah, a few months ago the temporary structure was shifted to another place in the area. The official said that the bridge went missing on June 26, after which the electricity company lodged a complaint.

At the same time, the police said in its investigation that the bridge was last seen at its place on 6 June. Police scanned CCTV footage in the surrounding areas in search of the bridge and on 11 June found a large vehicle which was going towards the bridge that day. The official said that the vehicle had gas cutting machines, which were used to break the bridge and steal iron weighing 6,000 kg.

Police said that this employee and his three companions were arrested last week.
