Actually, in June this year, there was to be a series of ODI matches between India and Afghanistan, but the boards of both the countries had decided to extend the date of the series with mutual consent. According to the earlier schedule, the India-Afghanistan series was to be held from June 23 to June 30, but now this series will be held next year i.e. January 2024. Earlier on Friday, there was a meeting of the BCCI Apex Committee, after which BCCI Secretary Jai Shah announced the schedule of the series.
