Maharashtra ATS On DRDO Scientist: Last two months ago, the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Maharashtra Police arrested Pradeep Kurulkar, a scientist of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in Pune, Maharashtra, on charges of espionage. On Saturday, the ATS filed a charge sheet against this scientist, in which many shocking revelations have been made against the scientist.
According to the ATS charge sheet, a Pakistani intelligence agent named Zara Dasgupta had tried to extract important information related to the Defense Department and missiles from Scientist Pradeep Kurulkar by making him a target. According to the charge sheet, Kurulkar and Zara Dasgupta (Pakistani spy) used to keep in touch through WhatsApp as well as communicate through voice and video calls.

This Special Anti-Terrorism Unit of Maharashtra Police claimed in the charge sheet that Dasgupta had claimed that she lives in the UK and is a software engineer by profession. The girl befriended Kurulkar by sending obscene messages and videos. But during investigation his IP address was found to be of Pakistan.
According to the chargesheet, the Pakistani agent tried to obtain intelligence and sensitive information about BrahMos launchers, drones, UCVs, Agni missile launchers and military bridging systems, among others
Pradeep Kurulkar started loving Pakistani spy
The chargesheet submitted to the court after investigation stated that Kurulkar had unknowingly been attracted to the spy and had taken DRDO’s intelligence and sensitive information on his personal phone and then allegedly shared it with Zara. . According to the ATS, both were in contact from June 2022 to December 2022.
It blocked Zara’s number in February 2023, just before the DRDO began an internal inquiry after Kurulkar’s activities were found suspicious. After this he got a message on WhatsApp from an unknown Indian number that why have you blocked my number. He was arrested on May 3 under the Official Secrets Act and is now in judicial custody.
According to the chargesheet, the conversation records revealed that Kurulkar shared his personal and official schedule and location with the Pakistani agent, knowing that he was not supposed to share his details with anyone.
