Pro Khalistan Rally: Khalistan supporters protested in front of the Indian Consulate in Toronto, Canada on 8 July (Saturday). During this, two Khalistani protesters who were trying to incite violence have been arrested by the police. According to local reports, around 250 Khalistani supporters had gathered in front of the Indian Consulate in Toronto.

Significantly, the separatist group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) had organized a ‘Kill India’ rally after the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, which turned out to be a complete failure. Khalistani supporters were very active on social media regarding this protest held on 8th July. Were giving online threats against India.

Indian community gave a befitting reply

Amidst all this, the plan of the Khalistani supporters failed because the people of the Indian community here gave a befitting reply to them. The Indians stopped their speech by hoisting the tricolor. Although there was an attempt to misbehave with the Indian community from the side of the protesters, but the Toronto Police was already very cautious. Barricades were already installed to control the protesters. Traffic was blocked.

Police took two people into custody

During the demonstration, the pro-Khalistani group tried to attack the pro-Indian party. But the police pushed them back and a person who was inciting violence was taken away by the police. Meanwhile, a young man tried to attack the police, who was arrested. In this way, two people were arrested during the protest. However, after some time both were later released without any charges.

Significantly, on June 18, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Canada. After whose death the Khalistani supporters had organized this demonstration. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the president of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara and the main face of the extremist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) in Canada.
