Many people died due to lightning in UP, CM Yogi expressed grief


UP Lightning Death: It is raining heavily in Uttar Pradesh due to the active southwest monsoon. On Sunday, the entire state recorded 13.6 mm of rain. Due to heavy rains, many people have died due to lightning in many districts of the state. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives due to lightning in other districts including Mirzapur, Baghpat, Agra and Badaun.

CM Yogi Adityanath Has issued instructions to give immediate relief amount of Rs. 4- 4 lakhs as assistance to the families of the deceased. He has also issued special instructions for proper treatment of those injured due to lightning. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert across the state regarding heavy rains.

7 people died due to lightning in the last 24 hours

Heavy rains were recorded in about 68 districts out of 75 districts across the state. During the heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning, lightning struck many districts. In the last 24 hours, 7 people died due to lightning, while 10 people were badly injured. One person each died in Mirzpur, Baghpat, Agra, Badaun, Unrao while two people died in Kannauj due to lightning. During this, 8 people were seriously injured in Agra and Rae Bareli due to lightning.

In view of the Meteorological Department’s warning of heavy rains, an order has been issued to declare holiday in schools on July 10 in Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Baghpat. Meanwhile, in Bulandshahr and Gautam Budh Nagar, there will be a holiday on July 10 in all board schools from class 1 to 12, while in Baghpat, DM Jitendra Pratap Singh has issued an order to give holiday for two days on July 10 and 11.
