With this, Ashwin will become the first Indian player in international cricket to score 700 wickets and 4000 runs.

Former captain Anil Kumble’s name is first in terms of taking the most wickets in international cricket for Team India. Kumble took a total of 956 international wickets in his career. On the other hand, there is former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has 711 international wickets in his name. Ashwin is at number three in the list with 697 wickets.

Ashwin has so far taken 474 wickets in 92 Tests for the Indian team at an average of 23.93. During this, he has done the feat of taking 5 wickets in an innings 32 times and 10 wickets in a match 7 times. Ashwin has taken 151 wickets in ODIs while 72 wickets in T20 Internationals.
