Rajasthan Right to Health Act 2022: Rajasthan is the first state in the country where people will be guaranteed the right to health care. In this regard, the Right to Health Bill was passed by the Vidhan Sabha on March 21 and it became an Act after the approval of Governor Kalraj Mishra. On Tuesday, on the instructions of CM Ashok Gehlot, a committee was also formed to prepare rules for this. That is, very soon this rule is going to be ready.

A high-level committee has been constituted as per the instructions issued by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to make rules for the implementation of the Right to Health Act-2022 passed by the state assembly.

Who are the members of this committee?

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Shubhra Singh said that after holding detailed discussions with all the stakeholders, the committee will send its recommendations to the state government, including useful suggestions given by them. Singh said that Professor (Dr.) SK Sarin, Director of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (New Delhi), will be the chairman of the committee.

Principal Secretary (Medical Education) T Ravikant, Chief Executive Officer of Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency Suchi Tyagi, Director of National Health Mission Jitendra Kumar Soni, Vice Chancellor of RUHS Sudhir Bhandari and Principal of SMS Medical College Dr Rajeev Bagrahatta will be members and Finance Department And one person each from the law department will also be a part of the panel.

Rajasthan became the first such state in the country

Director (Public Health) Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur will be the member secretary of the committee. The Right to Health Bill was passed by the Assembly on 21 March. It is the first state in India to pass a bill guaranteeing the right to health care for its residents and it has become an Act after Governor Kalraj Mishra gave his assent on April 12.
