About 1058 villages in 14 districts are in the grip of flood. In such a situation, seeing the worsening of the situation, the Punjab Education Department has decided to close all the schools in the state. Schools in Punjab have been closed till 16 July. Earlier, it was decided to close the schools in Delhi as well.

He tweeted and wrote Honorable Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann As per the directions of the Punjab Government, in view of safety due to rains, the Punjab Government has extended the holidays in all government, aided, recognized and private schools in the state till July 16, 2023. Schools will open like normal days from Monday, 17th July.
