Parliament Monsoon Session Bill: The Central Government has listed 21 Bills for the Monsoon Session of Parliament on Thursday (July 13). These include the Personal Data Protection Bill, the Bill to amend the Forest Conservation Act and the Bill to replace the Ordinance on Services in Delhi. The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 20 and will continue till August 11. Nothing has been told about UCC yet.
A statement issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat has listed 21 bills for the monsoon session, including a draft bill to prevent film piracy, age-based classification of censor certification and a bill related to setting up a National Research Foundation. Bills listed for passage in the session include the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill and the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill. Let us tell you about some important bills.
Bill related to Delhi’s ordinance will be presented
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 will also be introduced in the monsoon session. There has been a lot of uproar about it. On May 19, the central government issued an ordinance with the aim of setting up the National Capital Public Service Authority for the transfer of Group-A officers in Delhi and for disciplinary action against them.

Public trust bill will also be presented
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2023. In this, with the aim of promoting ease of doing business, it has been proposed to remove minor irregularities from the category of crime by amending 183 provisions in 42 Acts. In this, it is proposed to amend 183 provisions of 42 Acts related to 19 ministries.
These ministries include Finance, Financial Services, Agriculture, Commerce, Environment, Road Transport and Highways, Posts, Electronics and Information Technology. Apart from the proposal to decriminalize minor crimes in the bill, it has also been proposed to rationalize monetary punishment on the basis of the seriousness of the crime, to promote trust-based governance.
Personal data protection bill will also be passed
Another important bill, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Bill, 2023, is also to be passed in the monsoon session. In this bill, there is a provision to impose a fine of up to Rs 250 crore on companies for violating the rules. All personal data will be brought under the purview of this bill brought for the purpose of protecting the personal details of the citizens of the country. Under this, the personal data of the user will not be used against his will.
Bill to amend the Forest Conservation Act
Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav introduced the bill in the budget session of Parliament. Through the bill, it was proposed to amend the Forest (Conservation) Act 1980. Under this, it is also proposed to exempt certain categories of land from the purview of the Act so that strategic and security related projects of national importance can be completed expeditiously.
