Asian Athletics Championships 2023: In the ongoing 25th Asian Athletics Championships in Thailand, India’s Jyoti Yaraji won the gold medal by securing the first position in the women’s 100 meters hurdles race. The second day of the championship was very good for India, in which Indian athletes won 3 gold medals and a bronze medal. Apart from Jyoti, Ajay Kumar Saroj and Abdullah Abubakar won gold medals in their respective events.

Jyoti Yaraji won the gold medal in the women’s 100 meters hurdles event by completing the race in 13.09 seconds. Japan’s Moushumi Oki came second in this race, who completed the race in 13.12 seconds.

At the same time, the second gold medal of the second day for India came in the 1500 meter men’s race event. In this, Ajay Kumar Saroj won the medal by completing the race in 3.41.51 seconds. During this, Ajay left behind Japan’s Yushuki Takasi, who finished second in the race with 3.42.04 seconds.

Abdullah Abubakar won gold in triple jump

Abdullah Abubakar, participating in the triple jump event from India, made a jump of 16.92 meters and won the gold medal in this event. On the second day, apart from these 3 gold, India also got 2 bronze medals. In this one was won by Aishwarya Mishra in the women’s 400 meters race while Tejaswin Shankar won the other in the Decathlon event by scoring 7527 points. On the first day of the championship, India won 1 bronze medal, which was won by Abhishek Pal in the 10,000 meters race.
