Musk launched the xAI website and said the team would be led by Musk and include executives who have worked at leading companies in the field of AI such as Google’s DeepMind, Microsoft Corp. Professors from educational institutions such as Tesla Inc. and the University of Toronto. Musk’s team includes 2 such people who studied under Geoffrey Hinton, the godfather of AI. Musk’s startup has added two University of Toronto professors, Guodong Zhang and Jimmy Ba, to the team, who is working as an adjunct professor. After the new startup, 52-year-old Musk now oversees six companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, Neuralink, The Boring Company and now XAI.
