Haryana: 12 districts in the grip of flood, water filled in 854 villages, rising water level of rivers increased the problem


Haryana News: The havoc of floods in Haryana is not over yet. Now 12 districts of the state have come under the grip of flood. 854 villages have been flooded due to floods. People have been imprisoned in homes, people’s problems have started increasing due to food and electricity. NDRF and Army are engaged in rescue operation. So far 3674 people have been shifted to safer places. The water level of other rivers including Markanda, Ghaggar, Saraswati is also increasing rapidly. There has been a slight decrease in the water level of Yamuna.

6 districts 585 villages more affected
The condition of 6 districts of GT road belt is looking worse. About 585 villages in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Panipat districts are more affected by the dam. Many villages have been cut off from the headquarters. 4 lakh acres of crops have been completely affected by the flood. Not only this, the situation in Kaithal and Kurukshetra has already worsened. Wherein the water of Ghaggar river was filled in Cheeka city. Apart from this, the water of Markanda river has reached from Shahabad to Kurukshetra.

Villages in danger due to rising water in Hathini Kund barrage
Due to increase in water in Hathini Kund barrage of Yamunanagar, danger is looming in the villages. At the same time, in Kurukshetra city, the water has reached the third gate of Kurukshetra University. Seeing the water rising further, people have started migrating from the colonies. NDRF and Army teams are engaged in rescue in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra. The Air Force delivered relief material to 7 villages of Ambala on Thursday. The water has now reached Palwal district. Flood water has reached 24 villages in Palwal district.

16 people died so far
So far 16 people have died in Haryana due to floods. On Thursday also the dead bodies of 2 people were recovered. At the same time, a woman died in Karnal, apart from this, a person was swept away in the water. At the same time, according to the government, 16 people have died in flood-related incidents in Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Ambala, Fatehabad, Panipat, Sonipat, Yamunanagar, Panchkula districts. 2 people injured and 2 people missing. The government has opened 12 relief camps so far. In which 1819 people have been kept.
