Indian Railways: Indian Railways is an important part of the life of common people. Every day crores of passengers reach their destination by train. During the festival time, suddenly the number of people traveling in the train increases manifold. Railways gives passengers the facility of booking tickets four months in advance. In such a situation, train booking for Deepawali and Chhath has started from the second week of July itself, but the sad thing is that most of the people are feeling disappointed. From now the tickets for the date of November have started expiring.
This year Deepawali is on November 12, 2023. Whereas Mahaparva Chhath is between 12 November to 17 November 2023. In view of Diwali and Chhath, the scramble for reservation has already started in UP-Bihar trains. With the commencement of booking in many trains going from Delhi to Bihar, there has been a famine of confirmed tickets.
Confirm ticket is not available in these trains
During Diwali and Chhath, people go to their village or native city in large numbers. In such a situation, the fight for train tickets increases during the festive season. In the second week of July itself, waiting tickets are available in trains going from Delhi to UP, Bihar, while there are still 4 months left for these festivals. Like for example, today the booking of trains for November 11 started and almost all the trains were filled in no time. Regret started coming in the Garib Rath, whereas, except for a few selected trains, the tickets for all the others went to the waiting list.
Trains that run from Delhi to Bihar like Bihar Sampark Kranti (12566), Vaishali Express (12554), Saharsa Garib Rath (12204), Rajendranagar Rajdhani (12310) as per the information available on Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website. Express (12562), Avadh Assam (15910), Lichchavi Express (14006) etc. are already not getting confirmed tickets between 10 and 17 November.
Railway runs many special trains every year
Every year in view of Diwali and Chhath, the railway operates many special trains for the convenience of the passengers, but these trains also prove to be inadequate many times. People want to reach home at the time of the festival under any circumstances. Please tell that Chhath is one of the major festivals of Bihar. Every year, migrants living in different cities of the country go to their homes at this time.
In such a situation, every year from Diwali to Chhath, there is a huge crowd of passengers in trains, buses, flights etc. This year also, for the convenience of the passengers, railways will run many special trains, which can be announced in the coming few months, but people prefer to book the train in advance to avoid inconvenience.
