IND vs WI Live: India made a lead of 162 runs against West Indies, Yashasvi’s brilliant performance


India vs West Indies 1st Test Live Score Update: The first match of the Test series between India and West Indies is being played in Dominica. By the end of the second day’s play, India had scored 312 runs in the first innings with the loss of 2 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal had scored an unbeaten 143 runs. Virat Kohli was unbeaten after scoring 36 runs. Now the third day’s match will be played. The West Indies team was all out on a score of 150 runs in the first innings.

By the end of the second day’s play, India had made a lead of 162 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi came to open in the first innings for Team India. Rohit scored 103 runs facing 221 balls. He also hit 10 fours and 2 sixes. Shubman Gill got out after scoring just 6 runs. Yashasvi and Kohli remained unbeaten till the end of the second day’s play. Yashasvi scored an unbeaten 143 in 350 balls. Kohli faced 96 balls and scored an unbeaten 36.

West Indies’ innings was limited to 150 runs

In the first Test, the bowlers of the Indian team did not take much time to wrap up the first innings of the West Indies team. The team was reduced to 150 runs on the first day itself. The highest innings of 47 runs was played by Alik Athanaj from the host team. Apart from this, the second highest score from the team was 20 runs which was scored by captain Craig Brathwaite.

In bowling from India, Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets showing the magic of his spin. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets while Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur took 1-1 wickets. By the end of the first day’s play, Team India had also scored 80 runs in their first innings without any loss. Ashwin also completed his 700 wickets in international cricket with superb bowling, in which he became the third Indian bowler to do so.
