PM Modi Paris Visit Live: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached France on Thursday (July 13) on his two-day visit to Paris. PM Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed at the airport here. French PM Elizabeth Borne received Prime Minister Modi. Here PM Modi was given a ‘guard of honour’ and the national anthems of both the countries were played.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held “fruitful” meetings with his French counterpart Elizabeth Borne and Senate President Gerard Larcher at the start of his two-day visit to France. During this, he discussed ways to give new impetus to India’s long-term and time-tested strategic partnership with the European country.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in a press release that the two prime ministers discussed enhancing cooperation in various areas such as economic and trade, energy, environment, education, railways, digital public infrastructure and people-to-people contacts. It said, ‘Both sides reiterated their desire to further develop the multi-faceted cooperation between India and France.’

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, in their first meeting, PM Modi had a ‘fruitful meeting’ with Senate President Larcher and the two leaders discussed a number of issues of mutual interest. Also agreed to work together to deepen Indo-French cooperation in several fields.

Modi tweeted, “It was a pleasure to meet the President of the Senate, Gerard Larcher. Had meaningful talks on ways to deepen India-France cooperation in various fields.” After this, PM Modi met Prime Minister Borne and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations. The Prime Minister’s Office said, “PM Narendra Modi had fruitful talks with Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne in Paris. The leaders reviewed various aspects of the India-France partnership and also discussed steps to further strengthen ties between the two countries.

After this, PM Modi interacted with the people of the Indian community in a program. Late night, PM Modi attended the dinner given by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron. After which he thanked President Macron and the First Lady.
