Yashasvi Jaiswal completed 150 runs in debut test, achieved this special milestone as an opener


India vs West Indies, Yashasvi Jaiswal Scored 150: The first match of the 2-match Test series being played between India and West Indies is being played on Dominica’s ground. Yashasvi Jaiswal, playing his debut Test in the third day’s play, has included himself in a special club after completing 150 runs. Yashasvi is the third player to reach this milestone in the debut match for India.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has also become the youngest player from India to score 150 runs in his debut test match. Yashasvi did this feat at the age of 21 years 196 days. Yashasvi is also the 5th youngest player to do so in the history of Test cricket. Former Pakistan veteran Javed Miandad holds the record of being the youngest in Test history to score 150 runs in his debut match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has also become the first Indian player to score 150 runs outside the country in his debut test match. Yashasvi’s innings ended on 171 runs in this match when Windies bowler Alzarri Joseph got him caught by wicketkeeper Josua de Silva and sent him to the pavilion.

17th Indian player to score century in debut test

On the second day of the first Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal became the 17th Indian player to do so in Test cricket by completing a century in his debut match. Shikhar Dhawan holds the record for scoring the most runs in a debut match for India, which he made against Australia at Mohali ground. Yashasvi is in the first place in terms of playing most balls in the debut test innings from India. Yashasvi faced a total of 387 balls during his innings of 171 runs.
