Maharashtra Politics: Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a notice to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut. This notice has been sent for making serious allegations against the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The police have asked him to record his statement on the matter.
What was Sanjay Raut’s statement?
Sanjay Raut had said, "The Chief Minister’s office is talking to the criminals who are in jail. People in power are in touch with him. Mobile phones have been delivered to the prisoners in the jail and contact is being made through this. All this is going on under the supervision of the Chief Minister’s Office. I will soon bring this information to the public."
Sanjay Raut made serious allegations
According to a news published in Loksatta, MP Raut said, "The Chief Minister’s Office is in touch with many big criminals lodged in jail. In this, prisoners lodged in jail under Section 302 and many big accused are included. Inmates lodged in different jails of the state from Mumbai to Nashik, Kolhapur are being contacted. A conspiracy is being hatched to get some criminals out of jail before the elections."
Mumbai Crime Branch has now asked Sanjay Raut to collect evidence in this case. The crime branch has asked to record the statement again and has sought all the evidence related to it.
