Union Minister visits Kanwar for awareness on UCC, welcomed in Muzaffarnagar


Uniform Civil Code: Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Sanjeev Balyan started the Kanwar Yatra four days ago by taking Ganga water from Haridwar to make people aware on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) issue. . On the other hand, Minister Sanjeev Balyan performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with Ganges water at Shiv Chowk here on Friday evening.

Sanjeev Balyan told reporters here that he had brought Ganga water from Haridwar on foot and during this he made people aware of Uniform Civil Code. Earlier, along with state government minister Kapil Agarwal, he showered flowers on the Kanwar Yatris and performed Shiva’s aarti. The Minister of State came from Delhi to Dehradun on July 11 by plane and then reached Haridwar. He started the Kanwar Yatra by taking water from the Ganges in Haridwar.

The Kanwar Yatra of the Union Minister concluded on the fourth day on Friday with the offering of Ganga water to Lord Shankar at Shiv Chowk here. Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal welcomed Balyan in Muzaffarnagar. The Union Minister also shared a video on his official social media account while performing Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with Ganges water.
