Russia-Ukraine War: Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) on Friday (July 14) arrested 7 people on charges of killing two prominent Russian journalists. According to the report of Russia’s official news agency TASS, the accused planned to kill two Russian journalists at the behest of Ukraine.

On July 15, the court approved the detention of five minors and two men on criminal charges of hooliganism until September 14, TASS reported. All these people were part of an organized group.

However, the Interfax news agency quoted the FSB as saying that those arrested had admitted to preparing an attack on the two women on behalf of Ukraine and offered a reward of 1.5 million rubles ($16,620) for each female journalist killed. was promised.

Ukraine blamed for the killings
Last year, bomb attacks inside Russia killed prominent pro-war Russian journalist Daria Dugina and military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky. Russia blamed Ukraine for their killings, while Kiev denied it.

In May, Zakhar Prilepin, a prominent Russian nationalist writer, was injured in a car bombing that killed his driver. Investigators said a suspect has been taken into custody and has admitted to acting on behalf of Ukraine.
