After which now the Border Roads Organization has built a temporary bridge in its place so that people can get rid of the problems in movement. Malari is a small village near the Indo-China border. The Jumma motor bridge was washed away in the flood on the night of July 10, due to which traffic on this strategically important road was disrupted for the last four days. According to a government statement, a temporary bridge has been constructed in Jumma for vehicular movement through the Hayum pipe and traffic on it was restored on Saturday (July 15).

Vehicular movement started on Joshimath-Malari highway

Chamoli’s DM Himashu Khurana said on Sunday that on July 10, the bridge connecting dozens of villages, including Joshimath, was washed away due to a spate in the Deogarh drain near Malari Highway. However, now the movement of vehicles on the Joshimath-Malari highway has been resumed temporarily.

Yamunotri highway also disrupted

He said that the bridge was opened for traffic on Saturday after the laying of Hum pipe by the Border Roads Organisation. Apart from this, Yamunotri Highway No. 123 was blocked due to falling debris near Chami village in Pauri tehsil of Garhwal district in Uttarakhand on Saturday. During this, dozens of vehicles were left stranded on both sides of the road. Due to monsoon rains, many roads have been broken in Uttarakhand and due to landslides, a large number of people are trapped in different places.
