In a news of Hindustan Times, quoting Ease My Trip CEO Nishant Pitti, it has been told that after the announcement of the match, the one night’s rent of hotels in Ahmedabad has increased up to 5 times. Luxury hotels are charging up to Rs 50,000 for one night.

Ticket prices increased up to 7 times

The impact of the proposed match is not limited to this. The airfares have also started making records. A day before the match i.e. for October 14, the flight ticket prices from Delhi and Mumbai to Ahmedabad have gone up from Rs 15,000 to Rs 22,000. On normal days, flight tickets are available from these two cities for around Rs.3000 to Ahmedabad.
