Apart from this, a roadmap named ‘Horizon 2047’ was also unveiled for the partnership in the next 25 years.
In France, the Prime Minister was the guest of honor at the ‘Bastille Day’ parade, where contingents of the three wings of the Indian Army participated, led by a military band, to mark the 25th anniversary of the Indo-French strategic partnership. PM Modi was also awarded the ‘Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour’, the highest civilian and military honor of France, by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Puri said, “Recently some other top international awards and honors from various countries were given to the Prime Minister, including ‘Order of Nile’ by Egypt and ‘Companion of Order’, the highest honor of Fiji.” Referring to the other honours, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Puri said they testify to the Prime Minister’s “extreme popularity rating” and India’s position at the international level.
India and the UAE on Saturday agreed to start trading in their currencies and link their instant payment systems to facilitate international financial transactions and open a campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Delhi in the Gulf country.
