Destruction of 4414.95 crores in Himachal rains, know how much loss of life and property

Himachal Pradesh has suffered a loss of Rs 4414.95 crore due to heavy rains. In this, Jal Shakti Department has suffered a loss of Rs 1411.78.58 crore, Public Works Department Rs 1261.89 crore, Electricity Department Rs 1382.57 crore, Horticulture Department Rs 75.27 crore, Urban Development Department Rs 6.47 crore.

117 people have lost their lives so far
Apart from this, 117 people have lost their lives so far due to heavy rains. Due to rain across the state, 481 houses were completely destroyed, while 3 thousand 863 were partially damaged. Due to rain, 133 shops and 1008 animal houses were destroyed, while 935 animals also lost their lives. Since June 24, 53 landslides and 41 flash floods have been recorded in Himachal Pradesh.

Assessment of loss of more than eight thousand crores
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Himachal Pradesh has a debt of Rs 75 thousand crore. The details of Rs 4,000 crore damage due to rain have reached the state government. The Chief Minister believes that this loss can reach eight thousand crores. Recently, two installments of Rs 180-180 crore have been released by the Central Government for relief to the state. This is the amount of the State Disaster Response Fund. Apart from this, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has also constituted Disaster Relief Fund-2023.

People are also contributing extensively in this fund. All the Congress MLAs have donated their one month’s salary to this fund. Apart from this, government employees are also donating their one day salary in this fund. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has made a big demand to donate to the relief fund. Recently, the government has also increased VAT on diesel by three rupees, due to which the government’s coffers will be filled.

Himachal will take time to get back on track
Due to heavy rains, the system of Himachal Pradesh has derailed. It will take a long time for Himachal Pradesh to get back on track in the coming days. Such devastation took place in the state, which no one has ever seen in history before today. In this era of modernity, even though life has started running again, it is still not back on track. The tourism business of the state is badly affected. Apple season is on in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh. Roads are broken and there is a lot of pressure on the government to successfully complete the apple season. In such a situation, the question is that how will the government bring the derailed system back on track in the midst of huge losses?
