VVS Laxman to replace Rahul Dravid as head coach
According to media reports, VVS Laxman will be in the role of head coach in place of Rahul Dravid on the tour of Ireland with Team India. At present, VVS Laxman is the director of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. But when VVS Laxman will be the coach of the team on the Ireland tour, Sitanshu Kotak or Rishikesh Kanitkar will be the director of the National Cricket Academy. At the same time, Troy Cooley or Sairaj Bahutule can be selected as the bowling coach. Last year also when the Indian team went on a tour of Ireland, the coach of that team was VVS Laxman.
Team India will play 3 T20 matches series against Ireland.
Significantly, a series of 3 T20 matches will be played between India and Ireland. The first T20 match between the two teams will be played on 18 August.
