Terrorist attack in Anantnag, 2 non-Kashmiri laborers shot dead


Jammu-Kashmir: Terrorists have once again targeted non-Kashmiri laborers in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists fired on two outside laborers in Anantnag. Both the injured have been taken to the hospital, where their condition is stable.

The police officer said that the area has been cordoned off for the search operation of the terrorists. Both the injured laborers are residents of Maharashtra. This is the fourth attack on non-local people and minorities in Kashmir this year.

Earlier on July 13, terrorists shot and injured three migrant laborers in Gagran village of Shopian district of South Kashmir. The Kashmir Zone Police had said that among the injured persons, Anmol Kumar, Pintu Kumar Thakur and Hiralal Yadav, all residents of District Supaul, Bihar, were admitted to the hospital.

On February 26, terrorists shot dead a security guard at a bank in Achen, Pulwama. On May 29, Deepu of Udhampur was shot dead near Zeeland Mandi in Anantnag.

Operation Trinetra of the security forces is also going on amidst the cowardly act of the terrorists. On Tuesday itself, security forces killed four Pakistani terrorists in an encounter in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said that a large quantity of arms and ammunition were found near the bodies of the slain terrorists. These include four AK assault rifles made in China and two Pakistani marked pistols.

The army had launched ‘Operation Trinetra’ after a terrorist attack on a convoy of security forces on April 20 in Mendhar area of ​​Poonch. Five soldiers lost their lives in this attack.
