Maharashtra Rain: It has been raining in many parts of Maharashtra for a few days. Due to heavy rains, the people of Maharashtra are facing a lot of problems. Due to heavy rains, the water level of all the rivers in the district has increased. Flood-like situation has also remained in many places. Meanwhile, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has shared information regarding the flood. He told that all emergency agencies have been put on alert mode.
Emergency agencies on alert mode – Eknath Shinde
CM Eknath Shinde told the media that, ‘All emergency agencies NDRF, SDRF and Municipal Corporation cooperation have been put on alert mode. They are working on rescue operations and I assure that proper relief facilities will be provided to the public. Since morning I am in touch with the secretaries and DM and people are being taken to safe places. Eknath Shinde Further said that, I have ordered the BMC commissioner to assure people to reach their homes safely and rescue those trapped in the rain.

Apart from this, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed the officials to evacuate people to safer places in various parts of Chiplun town of Ratnagiri district in view of the rise in the water level of Vashishthi river. Officials said that out of the six major rivers of Raigad district, Savitri and Patalganga are flowing above the danger mark.
Trouble due to rise in water level of rivers
According to the district administration, the water level in Kundalika and Amba rivers has reached the ‘warning’ mark, while Gadhi and Ullas were flowing close to the warning mark till morning. Due to the torrential rains, the water of the Patalganga river has entered into Aapta and Rasaini. The lower areas of the woman have been submerged by the water of Savitri river. Officials told that the problem has arisen due to the increase in the water level of the rivers in Ratnagiri district. Vashishti is flowing above the ‘warning’ mark.
