Asia Cup 2023: The schedule of the Asia Cup to be played in Sri Lanka and Pakistan has been announced. The Asia Cup will start from 30 August. The final match will be played on 17 September. The competition between India and Pakistan in the group stage will be seen on 2 September.
The Asia Cup will begin with the match played between Pakistan and Nepal. This match will be played in Pakistan on 30 August. India’s campaign in the tournament will start from 2 September. India will face Pakistan in its first match itself. However, this match between the two countries will be played in Sri Lanka.

hosting dispute
There has been a lot of controversy regarding the hosting of the Asia Cup. Pakistan had the right to host the Asia Cup this year. But India refused to go to Pakistan due to security reasons. After this, clouds of danger were hovering over the Asia Cup. However, later a middle way was found.
The Asia Cup is now being played according to the hybrid model. Although earlier the Pakistan Cricket Board was refusing to accept this model. But after losing the hosting, Pakistan agreed to accept the hybrid model. Under this model, four matches will be held in Pakistan, while the remaining matches will be held in Sri Lanka. Three matches of group stage and one match of Super 4 stage are to be played in Pakistan.
