Loksabha Election 2024: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary EK Palaniswami on Wednesday (July 19) claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would win 330 Lok Sabha seats across the country.
During an interaction with reporters in the national capital, Palaniswami was asked whether it would be possible to garner more than 50 per cent of the total votes considering factors like inflation, to which the AIADMK leader replied that the country is vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite such aspects, there has been development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Will win elections under Modi’s leadership
He said that apart from this, the economies of many countries faced challenges, but this was not the case in India as the NDA dealt with the challenges in a better way. Palaniswami said that the prestige of the country has increased in the world under the leadership of Modi. He further said that the NDA-led Center worked understanding the need of the youth and this alliance would definitely win 330 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
When asked if BJP’s allies Lok Sabha Elections Palaniswami said, “There is no point in this question.” He said due respect is given to all constituents in the NDA, whether “small party or big party”, which was visible in the July 18 meeting and the alliance functioned on the basis of “unanimous views”.
Palaniswami said that his party is an important strength of the NDA in Tamil Nadu. He said that AIADMK is the main opposition party and it has 1.71 crore members.
He said that since the time of the party’s founder MG Ramachandran and later during the tenure of late party chief J Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK had forged alliances with like-minded parties and won elections.
