3 arrested for illegal extortion and looting by posing as fake SOG officers, court sent to jail


Udham Singh Nagar News: The city police station of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand (Uttarakhand) has exposed the illegal extortion and looting gang by posing as fake SOG officers. SSP Manjunath TC of Udham Singh Nagar district while disclosing the case in Rudrapur police office said that 3 accused have been arrested for extortion and car robbery by posing as fake SOG officers.

In Pantnagar Sidkul area of ​​Udhamsinghnagar district, the car of a young man named Kamlesh Kashyap was looted by three miscreants. At the time of the robbery, the accused told the victim youth Kamlesh Kashyap that they were officers and employees of the SOG. After robbing the car, the accused demanded money from the victim youth in lieu of leaving the car. The victim of this incident got scared. After the incident, the victim youth Kamlesh Kashyap reached the SOG office, met the concerned officials and apprised them about the whole incident of looting.

Police recovered the looted car from the accused

As soon as the information about the loot by the fake SOG officer was received, there was a stir in the police and SOG department. The officials informed the police captain about the incident. On the orders of the SSP, immediately registering a case against the accused, their search was started. SSP Manjunath TC told that in this case Pantnagar police station has arrested all the three accused who looted a Bolero car and asked for money posing as fake SOG officers. The accused arrested in this case have been identified as Aftab, Jalees Ahmed alias Salman and Mohammad Hanif alias Guddu.

Court sent the accused to judicial custody

All the three arrested accused are residents of Rudrapur Kotwali area. Police have recovered the looted Bolero car and a Scorpio car used in the incident from their possession. All the three accused were produced by the police in the court, where they have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
