Sahara Group Depositors Claim Process: Union Home Minister and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah launched the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal on July 18, 2023, to get back the money of the people trapped in Sahara. The money of the eligible people will be returned only through this portal. People have to register to get the refund. Refund will be issued to people only after registration.
Who will get refund first
Amit Shah had said that the first payment of up to Rs 10,000 will be made through this portal to 1 crore investors who have deposited Rs 10,000 or more. Shah said that the complete data of the four societies is available online for application on this portal.
Who is eligible under Sahara Refund Portal
The genuine and valid depositors of Sahara Society can get refund through CRCS Sahara refund portal. In this, first- Kolkata-based Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, second- Lucknow’s Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, third- Bhopal’s Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited and fourth Hyderabad-based Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.
Documents required for claim
The depositor should have a certificate of deposit or passbook
Claim request form is also required
If the claim amount is more than 50 thousand then PAN card is necessary
Aadhar seeded bank account, membership number, aadhar linked mobile number is mandatory
It is to be noted that it is mandatory for the depositors to fill a claim form with details of all the claims one by one for each claim in all the Sahara Societies where the depositor is outstanding.
How to register on the portal
- First of all visit the official website of CRCS Refund Portal mocrefund.crcs.gov.in
- Now click on Depositor Registration and enter 12 digit membership number
- After this, fill the last four Aadhaar numbers, 10 digit Aadhaar link mobile number and captcha.
- Now OTP will be sent to your number, enter it and complete the registration process.
How to claim on Sahara refund portal
- First of all log in to the portal with the help of last four digits of Aadhaar, mobile number, captcha and OTP
- Once you are logged in, the term and condition page will open on your screen, agree to it and proceed
- Now enter 12 digit Aadhaar number and go to Get OTP
- Enter OTP and verify it
- After verification, you will have to provide personal information
- Also user can enter email then click on “save email” and go to next
- Now the depositor will give the information asked on the screen
- After this depositor click on “Add Claim” button, here depositor can add multiple claims
- Generate the pre-filled claim request form once all the claim data is entered
- Affix the latest photograph and signature on the claim letter along with the photograph
- Now the page of PAN card and claim has to be uploaded
Money will come within 45 days
If the claim is done correctly, then you will be informed through email and message. At the same time, it is necessary to upload and submit the form after making the claim. The refund will be returned within 45 days from the date of submission of the letter.
