Tomato Price List: For the last few days, the prices of vegetables are skyrocketing. Especially tomato is becoming out of the purview of common people. To prevent profiteering in the prices of tomatoes and other vegetables, now the district administration will broadcast the rate list of tomatoes and vegetables daily on social media. District Magistrate Sonika has given instructions for this. He instructed the market inspector and supply inspector to regularly inspect the mandis and paste the rate list of vegetables at each wholesale and retail shop.
Vegetables are being sold at exorbitant prices
Actually, for the last few days the prices of vegetables are skyrocketing. Tomatoes and vegetables are being sold in retail at arbitrary prices. To control the prices, the prices of tomatoes have been fixed by the district administration. But, even after this the retailers are charging arbitrary prices. In such a situation, on Tuesday, District Magistrate Sonika held a meeting with the officials of the concerned departments to stop profiteering. He instructed the teams to conduct regular inspections in their respective areas.
DM also ordered the District Supply Officer
The DM said that in order to ensure uniformity in the prices of vegetables in the mandis, the District Supply Officer and Mandi Inspector should paste the rate list of vegetables on every retail and retail vegetable shop, cart, rehdi and send the list of daily rates. He said that daily vegetable list will also be circulated on the social media account of the district administration. The DM instructed that strict action should be taken against the profiteers. Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. SK Baranwal, Market Inspector Ajay Dabral, District Supply Officer Vivek Shah etc were present in the meeting.
