Virat Kohli’s brilliant performance after Rohit, India scored 288 runs on the first day in Trinidad Test


India vs West Indies 2nd Test 1st Day: The second match of the Test series between India and West Indies is being played in Trinidad. Team India scored 288 runs with the loss of 4 wickets till the end of the first day’s play. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 87 while batting brilliantly in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja scored 36 not out. Rohit Sharma contributed 80 runs while playing the captaincy innings. Jason Holder, Gabriel, Kemar Roach and Warrican took one wicket each for the West Indies.

Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian team scored 288 runs in 84 overs on the first day. Rohit and Yashasvi Jaiswal came to open for the team. During this, Yashasvi scored 57 runs in 74 balls. He hit 9 fours and a six. Rohit scored 80 runs facing 143 balls. Rohit’s innings included 9 fours and 2 sixes. Shubman Gill could not do anything special. He got out after scoring 10 runs. Ajinkya Rahane got out after scoring 8 runs.

There was a century partnership between Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli scored an unbeaten 87 facing 161 balls. He hit 8 fours. Jadeja scored an unbeaten 36 in 84 balls. He hit 4 fours. Kohli and Jadeja shared a 106-run partnership in 201 balls. Earlier, there was also a century partnership between Rohit and Yashasvi. Both of them played a partnership of 139 runs.

For West Indies, Jason Holder took one wicket for 30 runs in 13 overs. He took out 3 maiden overs. Warrican took one wicket for 55 runs in 25 overs. Gabriel took one wicket for 50 runs in 12 overs. Kemar Roach took one wicket for 64 runs in 13 overs. Apart from these, no bowler could take wickets.
