MP News: After the announcement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to make Nagda a district, now 4 Congress MLAs have sent a proposal to the Collector regarding making Nagda a district. The legislators say that the announcement has been made four times, but it has not yet been implemented, this time also there is a situation of doubt.
In the election year, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan declared Nagda as the 54th district in Madhya Pradesh. During this, it was also announced to make Unhel a Tehsil. With this announcement, now the politics of credit has also intensified. According to Nagda Congress MLA Dilip Gurjar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced to make Nagda a district in 2013 and 2018 assembly elections, but it was implemented after Kamal Nath became the Chief Minister.
Congress is watching with suspicion
On January 28, 2019, the then Chief Minister Kamal Nath wrote a letter to the Ujjain collector announcing the formation of Nagda district by including Khachrod, Nagda, Mahidpur, Alot, Tal. After this the government changed and then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to make Nagda a district 4 months before the assembly elections. This time too, in his announcement, more election promise is visible than reality because he has clearly said that along with making Nagda a district, he will happily merge any tehsil he wants to join. The Congress is watching this statement of the Chief Minister with suspicion.
3 MLAs of Congress gave proposal to collector
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had instructed Ujjain Collector Kumar Purushottam to send a proposal to make Nagda a district. Even before the administrative officer could make the proposal, the Congress MLAs have presented the proposal on their behalf in front of the collector. Nagda MLA Dilip Gurjar has proposed to include Khachrod with Nagda in the new district. While the Congress MLA from Ghatia, Ramlal Malviya has proposed to include the tehsil in Nagda district.
Similarly Congress MLA of Alot Manoj Chawla has given proposal and consent to the collector to include Alot and Tal in Nagda district. In this matter, Tarana’s MLA Mahesh Parmar is also joining hands with the three MLAs.
New district is formed after gazette notification
Gazette notification is done to create a new district in any state. The new district comes into force after 3 months of gazette notification. According to MLA Dilip Gurjar, if the government wants, it can take action regarding the new district even within the time limit of 1 month. Along with this, the posting of Collector and SP can also be done.
