He said, I participated in the meeting of the opposition in Bengaluru, India has been formed to save India. Seeing the united opposition, BJP is in danger. The rest of the strategy will be known when the elections come closer.
Who will be the PM candidate of the opposition?
On the question of the PM candidate for the opposition, the DMK leader said, “It is more important than who is the Prime Minister that democratic, secular, egalitarian India should be protected.” After the Bengaluru meeting, I said that the alliance is based on the fact that who should not come to power. The aim is to defeat the BJP.
Referring to 2004, he said, when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) came to power, no one had announced or expected that Dr. Manmohan Singh would be made the Prime Minister. BJP will not get success in Tamil Nadu – Stalin
On the question of expansion of BJP in Tamil Nadu, Stalin said, BJP is such a party which does negative politics of dividing people only on the basis of religion. BJP, unable to tell the achievements of its government in the last 9 years, is using agencies like ED to tarnish the image of the ruling government.
He said, the BJP has enslaved the opposition AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. The BJP is trying to climb on the shoulders of the corrupt AIADMK to attract the attention of the people of Tamil Nadu, but this dream will not materialise.
Even after the arrest, the Tamil Nadu CM spoke openly about not removing Senthil Balaji from the cabinet. He said, in the case of Senthil Balaji, the investigating agency should have acted beyond doubt and not the DMK-led government. Said that the BJP, which is questioning the resignation of Senthil Balaji, should first remove all those ministers who have criminal records from their cabinet. The matter of morality in politics cannot be one-sided.
