Ashok Gehlot on Manipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday (July 22) spoke to the Prime Minister regarding the vandalism of two women in Manipur. Narendra Modi But hit hard. During this, when a question was raised about the sacking of minister Rajendra Gudha in his government, he called it an internal matter of the party. Read here what CM Ashok Gehlot said in the press conference-
- The Chief Minister said, “The way the Prime Minister expressed grief over the Manipur incident and said that I would like to tell Rajasthan Chhattisgarh and the Chief Minister to take care of law and order, it is an injury to Rajasthan’s self-respect.”
- He said, “You are roaming in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh but not going to Manipur. Everything is burning there. If the Prime Minister had not gone himself, he could have called a meeting. Manipur is our state, the Prime Minister should go there.”
- The CM also said that we have written a letter to the PM saying that former PM Man Mohan Singh made four laws, you make the fifth law – Right to Social Security.
- He also said, “Revdi eaters are distributing Revdi themselves. They are distributing in Madhya Pradesh, they are distributing in UP.”
- He claimed that Rajasthan is the state which first introduced Right to Information within the country and Rajasthan is also the only state to give Right to Health.
- Attacking the BJP, the CM said, “They have no issue. They are telling the law and order situation is bad, overall the situation in Rajasthan is good. We made FIR necessary, made innovations.”
- He also said that BJP has nothing to say, when they do not find any issue, then they keep repeating the same old things, no matter how much BJP speaks, it will not make any difference.
- The CM said that when the BJP talks about figures, they have the NCRB figures and we also have them. Figures don’t lie. He alleged that the BJP has launched a campaign to mislead the public.
- Ashok Gehlot said that PM is now coming to Sikar on 27th. No one can compete with Modi ji in marketing. They are scared of the plans and decisions of our government. The BJP leaders of Rajasthan talk a lot.
- On law and order, Ashok Gehlot said, “I have made reception rooms in all police stations, complaints are heard in every police station. Uttar Pradesh leads in murder and crimes against women. Madhya Pradesh leads in the case of POCSO.”
- On the other hand, in the matter of sacking Rajendra Gudha, he said that this is an internal matter of the party, we will discuss it on our own. On the question of cabinet expansion, he said that the suggestion is good, will consider it.
Rajendra Gudha had raised the issue of women’s safety in the state while targeting his own government in the assembly. Referring to Manipur, he said that instead of there we should look in our backyard that we have failed in security.
